Point Series Descriptions
Brief definition of Motocross (MX): Outdoor wide open permanent tracks consisting mostly of natural terrain, long starts and man made obstacles. Brief definition of Supercross (SX): Intended for smaller confined areas (like indoor arenas) these tracks are all man made and consist of many obstacles that vary in difficulty. In almost all cases these tracks are built for one race. No two tracks are ever alike. Minnesota District 23 Motocross District 23 Motocross races are run every Sunday during the summer months from April until September. A typical season consists of roughly 20 race weekends of which 70% will count for points. Each Sunday there are two and sometimes three District events with entries ranging from 300 to 600 at each, all riders compete in the same points series for State Championship awards. Motokazie.com created by owner Lee Thies has provided the state with a very intense Supercross series since 1997. The home SX track for MK is in Jordan MN and the remaining schedule of up to twenty races are run at such places as the Grand Junction Casino and County fairs throughout the state. This is Motokazie.com's MX series. These races run at the Elko and Mankato tracks that MK operates. The races are Sunday district 23 MX races so this is basically a mini series within a series. The Millville Super Series, at the states premier MX facility. Spring Creek MX Park is also host to a yearly AMA Pro National Event. This series is also a mini series of there own consisting of 10 races within the district 23 series schedule. Midway Recreation Park also provides a very fun and competitive MX series consisting of 10 races within the district 23 schedule. The states premier indoor winter racing series. The series consists of eight races at two of the finest indoor facilities in the state. The I-90 Expo Center in Sherburn, MN and the Red Horse Ranch Arena in Fergus Falls, MN.
